5 Most Beautiful Bloom Displays This Spring

Expect to find tulips, daffodils, Dutch Iris, hyacinths, pansies, violas, poppies and more between February 26 and April 9 with a massive finale of a 3,000 blossom blanket of azaleas.

Chicago Botanic Garden

Each March, the Chicago Botanic Garden hosts an Early Spring Walk. And with its 27 display gardens and 4 natural display areas to stroll through, it’s not one to miss. The Early Spring Walk is particularly popular with morning exercisers and bird watchers. New York Botanical Garden

One of New York’s major tourist destinations, the New York Botanical Garden offers a stunning spring display. The New York Botanical Garden Seasonal Walk, created by designers Piet Oudolf and Jaqueline van der Kloet, is a one-of-a-kind event. From late April to early May, the trail is flanked by 25,000 tulips. Magnolias, found on the garden grounds between March and April, are not to be missed. Or visitors can stroll through 50 acres of original wild forest surrounded by plants that once covered New York.

Santa Barbara International Orchid Show

Even if orchids aren’t your thing, you’ll be mesmerized by the beautiful displays of these exotic plants. With over 25,000 varieties, orchids are known for their mystique. Aside from these flowering wonders, visitors can attend floral arrangement workshops and view art and photography. As one of the oldest orchid shows in the United States, these exhibits display the most well-tended blooms in the country.

National Cherry Blossom Festival, Washington DC

Dubbed the Nation’s Greatest Springtime Celebration, Washington DC really let’s its true colors show during their yearly Cherry Blossom Festival. The festival kicks off with a Pink Tie Event, a fundraiser designed to start the season in with a bang. This is followed by an Opening Ceremony and daily shows – all of which are free. But that’s not all! There is also a kite festival, parade and fireworks to celebrate the beautiful months of Cherry Blossoms.
